Data availability.csv. This dataset contains values recorded after starting the experiment evaluating fire x grazing interaction in an Eastern Hills Uruguayan grassland of: 1- Volume of Saccharum angustifolium clumps, 2- Number of flowering culms.Saccharum angustifolium clumps-1, 3- Normalized Difference Vegetation Index of Saccharum angustifolium clumps, 4- Soil temperature, 5- Soil moisture, and 6- Bulk density. DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR: A. File Name: Data availability.csv 1. Number of variables: 6 2. Number of cases/rows: 12-488 3. Variable List: 1- Volume of Saccharum angustifolium clumps, was obtained according to the following formula (Wigley et al., 2020): V= π/3.H((D_B/2)^2+(D_C/2)^2+D_B.D_C) where H: is the height below which the main bulk of the leaf canopy occurs; DB: is the basal diameter, and DC: is the canopy diameter. 2- Number of flowering culms.Saccharum angustifolium clumps-1, was registered in three fix transects of 10 m in length 3- Normalized Difference Vegetation Index of Saccharum angustifolium clumps, was calculated using the following equation: NDVI=(IR-R)/(IR+R) where R: is the reflectance in the red, and IR: is the reflectance in the infrared portions of the electromagnetic spectrum. 4- Soil temperature, was recorded at 10 points within each plot in five sampling dates after the experimental started in the surface portion of the ground with the infrared thermometer (Nicety ST530A). 5- Soil moisture, was recorded at 10 points within each plot in five sampling dates after the experimental started with a soil moisture meter (Extech MO750) at 10 cm depth. 6- Bulk density. Three soil cores, 10 cm deep and 2 cm in diameter, were collected from each plot (36 samples) in two sampling dates after the experimental started. 4. Missing data codes: NA 5.
